Roxie has her checkup . . .

Today was Roxie's 4 week check-up. She had x-rays and her surgeon says she is doing really well. There are some signs that she has been doing things she shouldn't (jumping, running, climbing on furniture, running down/up stairs, etc.). BAD PARENTS! (but we really did try!)However, overall, she is healing really well and the bones are coming together nicely. Today she can start going on short 10-15 minute walks. She will be very happy to get out and about again and I can't wait until tonight so we can take her on a walk. Each week we can increase her walking time by 5 minutes a day. In 4 weeks she goes back for more x-rays, and if they show the bone healed (which the surgeon feels they will) she will be sedated and the pins will be removed. So, if all goes well, we are halfway through the process.
